Firstly, they already ‘know’ all of what they need to know to make a difference and, secondly, they are still out there looking for the ‘perfect’ answer, which does not exist. If it is information and knowledge that people need, they need not attend these events: they just need to go to a search engine. Because people will most often focus on what they do not want, rather than what they do.

What is ‘supporting’? – ensuring people have what they need and supervising properly. What is ‘supervising’? – leading and managing and training. What is ‘training’? – assisting others to gain new skills and knowledge through teaching and advising. What is ‘advising’? – suggesting possible courses of action to achieve a given result based on your own experience, and perhaps through consulting. What is ‘consulting’? – helping people and teams by asking questions, and perhaps through mentoring an organization.

And they all put up their hands! I had been asking that question for the previous five years of business and mind/body/spirit audiences all over the world, and noone had ever ‘answered’. I forgot, of course, that if you ask a question in a classroom, then they think you want an answer.
