In den Schriften wird die Handlung in dieser Beziehung oft Karma genannt. Dieser Name hat weiter nichts anderes zu bedeuten als Handlung, Handlung des Geistes, der Rede oder des Körpers.

Es spielt jedoch keine Rolle, ob dies nun als analytische oder konzentrative Meditation bezeichnet wird, tatsächlich sind die Bemühungen etwas sehr Heilsames. Man versucht seinem Geist eine heilsame Gestalt zu geben, indem man Meditation verwendet; das ist schon viel besser, als gar nichts zu machen. Es gibt auch Leute, die in Meditation sitzen, die versuchen, ihren Geist zu konzentrieren und fest davon überzeugt sind, daß er ganz fest auf sein Objekt gerichtet ist, während er in Wirklichkeit ständig umherschwirrt.

Die Antwort ist nein, konzentrative Meditation kann in Abhängigkeit von irgendeinem beliebigen Objekt entwickelt werden. Ich erwähne immer wieder, daß es ein Objekt sein muß, das einem angenehm ist, an das man gerne 49 denkt, das man sich leicht vorstellen kann. Dann ist es leicht, die Meditation zu verwirklichen.
