GT is concerned with how well the specific samples of behavior (in this example, SP cases) can be generalized to the population or universe of behaviors. GT is also a useful tool for estimating the various sources of contributed error in the SP exam, such as error due to the SP raters, error due to the cases (case specificity), and error associated with examinees.
